The city of Westfield, Indiana is a large community just north of Indianapolis and Carmel. Westfield is home
to over 12,000 people and has experienced a 32% population growth since the 2000 census. Originally a Quaker
town, Westfield is teeming with 19th century history including being a major stop in the underground railroad.
Recently, the town of Westfield voted to become a city and on January 1, 2008, the city of Westfield was
incorporated.
Westfield is a thriving place to live and work, with big city appeal and small town charm. Westfield’s economy
is a successful mix of manufacturing, retailing, and other office and warehouse sites. Westfield has everything
you're looking for in a safe and prosperous community where family traditions are valued.
In addition to being home to many outdoor parks and recreational facilities including Asa Bales Park, Hadley
Park and Quaker Park, Westfield also includes the Monon Trail, a 16.7 mile trail connecting Indianapolis,
Carmel and Westfield together that is used by pedestrians.
Academics
Westfield students attend Westfield Washington Schools. The mission of Westfield Washington Schools is to
provide engaging and challenging educational opportunities that will prepare all students to become life-long
learners and help them to become respectful, responsible, compassionate, honest, and hard-working citizens.
